The 2007-2008 school year marks First Lutheran's fourteenth year in Torrance Adventures In Art. This is a volunteer program that provides the opportunity, materials, and the methods with which children can create their own unique art solutions. Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that the art experience for children should focus on the process and not the finished product. We are dedicated to furthering the creative spirit in children, through art, in a non-judgmental atmosphere. Our goal is to foster self-esteem and build a foundation of exploration and fun that will interest and inspire children to further create. We promote a non-threatening environment with no implication of right, wrong, or the “real” way to create.
